So far we have:
Now let's generate the Asset Source.
An Asset Source is a database that lists all information required to generate the different creative variations. Each row represents a different creative variation and every column represents a dynamic asset. The asset source also contains several lookup values that allow the system to decide which variation should be served. |
Once you upload the creative master, the platform generates the asset source template by default. In the Asset Source field, ensure Create New Asset Source is selected.
The new Asset Source by default is named after the Creative Master you uploaded. Here, the Asset Source is named 300x250_carousel_ZOP
. If you wish to rename it, you can type the desired name in the Asset Source field.
Since this is a carousel ad, each card gets assigned a unique row in the asset source. Each creative variation thus consists of a set of rows (one row for each card).
The default rows are listed first in the asset source table and are disabled. You can’t make any changes to the default row. For each new creative variation, a new set of rows are added in the asset source table. Refer to the Creating an Asset Source page for more details.
Now that the Asset Source has been created, we can move onto creating some new creative variations. You can generate creative variations in two different ways.
