Creating a Carousel Ad

Brands often want to target different user segments with different product catalogs, text copies, offers, and CTAs, based on their interest, browsing behavior, purchase history etc. You can now use the JivoxIQ platform to create carousel ads for better impact.

Carousel ads allow you to show two or more images/videos along with headlines, text copies, and call to action in a single ad. You can scroll through these images/videos by swiping left or right on your mobile screen or by clicking the left/right arrows on your computer screen. The number of carousel cards in one ad is indicated by the dots below the Ad.

  • Carousel ads are great for multi-product advertising and engaging users. They allow you to show different angles of the same product hence helping you to highlight different features of your product and deliver more information to the consumers.
  • Carousel ads lead to maximum conversions, drive traffic and engagement on the brand’s e-commerce website.
  • Carousel ads supporting video and slideshows media formats are the most popular and effective ads in terms of engagement.

The following table lists the users who have the required permissions to create or view the carousels.

Prerequisites

Here's a few things that we must take care of, before we go ahead and create a carousel ad:

1- Naming Convention: The names of the child assets in the uploaded creative master should be in the format jvxfr< Card Number>_Asset Name.

  • The Asset Name refers to the unique id attribute associated with each element i.e. Image and Text.
  • If any asset does not follow the given naming convention, the creative master will be considered invalid for carousel.

2- The uploaded creative master should have the required metad ata and tags that define the structure of the carousel ad i.e. number of cards, name of the assets.

3- Jivox enables personalisation and interactions on the Custom HTML5 creatives if it follows Jivox Creative Master Export Format.

  • The elements in the creative master should be identified by specifying Unique Identifier and Type (image/text).
  • The information needs to be available as standard HTML tags.
